Spring Pinewood Wedding | Kali + Joe

Kali & Joe’s Spring Pinewood Wedding was truly one of my favorite weddings to date! Kali and Joe live in Utah and did majority of their planning from out of state. They absolutely fell in love with Pinewood and the natural beauty of it. With being engaged only 9 months prior, they started the wedding planning process right away!

The Engagement

Kali and Joe were hiking in Utah, which wasn’t unusual as they hiked almost every weekend during the summer. They were hiking a new trail, with lots of wildflowers and ending at at Cecret Lake. The weather was perfect and when they got to the lake, Joe asked another couple to take their photo. After one photo, Joe said he needed to take off his backpack, and that’s when Kali secretly knew what was coming next! Joe got down on one knee and Kali said YES! They celebrated afterwards with proseco and nacho’s at a local ski bar.

The Venue

Situated north of the Twin Cities, Pinewood is nestled in a forest of tall pines. One of my favorite parts about the venue, besides being absolutely stunning, is that there is a separate inside ceremony space from the reception space, which makes a last minute rain plan call a breeze. Thankfully the rain held off for Kali & Joe’s big day! The venue is versatile for many different themes and designs, and doesn’t require much with it already be stunning by itself. Pinewood’s ceremony space seamlessly flows into the reception area, with a bar area that is connected both indoors and outdoors.

The Vision

Kali and Joe wanted the reception to be simple in terms of decor as Pinewood “wows” on its own. They wanted to use neutral florals, candles and greenery to highlight the venue itself. Kali wanted to have a non-rushed morning with her bridesmaids while getting ready. They went with emerald green bridesmaid dresses & black tuxes that really went well with Pinewood’s aesthetic! Kali & Joe opted for a first look to enjoy some time together before the ceremony. They wanted a cocktail hour full of mingling and drinks, that rolled into dinner before a night of dancing.

Our Services

Kali and Joe wanted someone who would take their vision and work through it with them for their Pinewood Wedding to ensure no details were missed. Kali wanted to hand over the reigns to someone and have full confidence that they will deliver! They also wanted someone who would be willing to tell their family and friends to relax, enjoy the day and not lift a finger. Kali and Joe wanted to feel completely unbothered by hiccups that inevitable happen, and to allow someone else to handle them while they focus on each other.

They went with our wedding management package which was perfect for what they were looking for! We started working with them 10 weeks out to craft a detailed timeline, communicate with their vendors, and ensure no details were missed. On the day of the wedding we set up and tore down all their personal decor, as well as coordinated with all their vendors so they didn’t have to worry about a thing.

Kali & Joe’s Spring Pinewood Wedding was truly a dream. Working with them felt more like working with friends then actually “working!” It’s a sad day when the wedding day comes to an end, but it was a beautiful day to be a part of. Congrats to the new Mr + Mrs McBeth!
