Sarah & Mark had a beautiful summer Mayowood Stone Barn wedding!
The Engagement
Sarah & Mark met back in college at UMD. They both really LOVED the amazing scenery in Duluth and always found themselves hiking together and exploring new places. One of the hiking places they loved was Rock Knob. Mark showed Sarah this place a few years back and they went hiking there often. After graduation, Mark and Sarah moved to Rochester where they both work. Duluth was and always will be a special place to them as that is where it all began!
Mark planned a trip for them to go back to Duluth over spring break. They went up there, rented a cabin and enjoyed the scenery once again. It was during this trip that Mark took her back to Rock Knob to go hiking. The sun was shining and the air was beginning to warm up (it was April when this trip happened). They kept hiking until they got to the top of Rock Knob where Mark got down on one knee! They went to lunch at a little place afterwards and enjoyed being engaged.
The Wedding
Mark and Sarah wanted a colorful, elegant wedding. Sarah is a teacher so this theme fit well! They went with black dresses and suits for the gals and guys, and colorful flowers for the reception area and bouquets. They also had a thank you note at every table, each printed on different color paper! They got married in a church before having their reception afterwards at the Mayowood Stone Barn.
Our Services
When Sarah & Mark inquired, they were looking for someone to have closer to the wedding day to ensure everything was completed, there were no miscommunications with vendors, a timeline was created, and to set up and tear down the personal decor.
Sarah & Mark went with our wedding management package where we did all of that and more! We started working with them a few months out to be sure all the details were figured out, and we had a few meetings together to be sure everything was in place. The day of the wedding we set up their decor, answered any vendor questions, and also tore down their decor so they had a stress-free day!
