Alex & Mariah’s Winter Woodhaven Wedding was sure a stunning one! After a few weeks without snow, they even got lucky enough to get some on their wedding day!

The Engagement

Alex and Mariah were true high school sweethearts with having started dating the beginning of their freshman year. And after 10 years together and many of life’s milestones including graduating college and buying their first home, Alex + Mariah got engaged! They went to spend the day in Stillwater, a place where Alex + Mariah both had never been to but always wanted to go to. They started the day with going for a walk by the river. Once they got about half way across the life bridge, Alex got done on one knee and Mariah cried happy tears of joy!

Woodhaven Wedding Venue

Alex and Mariah decided they didn’t want a super long engagement and decided to get married about 1 year after getting engaged. They chose their Venue, Woodhaven, because of how simple it was and how it would go well with their black and white wedding. They went with a winter wedding and Woodhaven was the perfect place for that as it has a separate ceremony, cocktail hour and reception space! Woodhaven also offers two spacious getting ready rooms, of which one of them overlooks the ceremony space.

Mariah and Alex kept their decor simple with floating candles, greenery and signage/table numbers rented from Klein & Co. Their decor went great with the bridesmaid’s black dresses and groomsmen’s black tuxes!

Our Services

It was important to Alex and Mariah to hire a wedding coordinator so they could feel as relaxed as possible on their wedding day at Woodhaven. They have been to weddings before where the bride and groom were so focused on other things that they could not enjoy themselves! They also both have a hard time letting someone take control so they wanted to find someone to help in relieving a lot of their stress.

And that’s where we came in! We helped with Alex & Mariah’s decor vision with setting up, coordination (even getting some content for content creation) while the venue handled the tear down.

It was a beautiful winter day at Woodhaven – with a slight snow storm on top of it. BUT that didn’t stop everyone from celebrating Alex & Mariah and having the best day ever. Cheers to the Gregor’s!
