Rebecca & Jack had a bold and colorful American Swedish Institute Wedding!
THE ENGAGEMENT
Jack told Rebecca that they were going to dinner with friends, but instead drove them to Boom Island Park. He proposed on an overlook with a view of downtown. Rebecca was surprised! She didn’t have any suspicions until they got in the car to drive there.
THE VENUE
The American Swedish Institute offers a really unique mix of historic and modern spaces for weddings. The historic Turnblad Mansion gives couples an incredible distinctive backdrop with its European-inspired design. The venue also includes a beautiful courtyard where couples can have their outdoor ceremony as well as outdoor reception.
One of the things that makes the venue so special is the ability to use the different areas of the property throughout the day, which gives guests a chance to experience different parts of the space. Between the historic mansion, outdoor courtyard, modern event spaces, and on-site catering, the American Swedish Institute offers a lot of flexibility while still feeling incredibly unique to Minneapolis.
THE WEDDING
Rebecca & Jack envisioned an elegant, timeless wedding with black-tie attire. They went with bold blues and vibrant purples for their color pallet which looked incredible in the ceremony and reception spaces for their American Swedish Institute wedding!
For the bridesmaid bouquets, Rebecca wanted something a little more unique for them and Fireweed Flower Co did an incredible job with the vision!
The biggest priority for Rebecca & Jack was creating a wedding that felt true to them as a couple and thoughtfully included the things that mattered the most. They wanted seamless execution, a great photographer, and a visually cohesive design to bring their vision to life – and we accomplished all three!
OUR SERVICES
When Rebecca & Jack inquired, they had their venue and catering/bar booked, but wanted help with the rest of their vendors as well as help with the design. We started with booking most of their core vendors including photographer, DJ, and hair/makeup, and then moved onto the design vendors such as florist, linens, chairs and other rentals!
We loved working with Rebecca & Jack to bring their vision to life – congrats you two!!!
