Melissa & Jake had an elegant Landmark Center Wedding! This is one of our favorite venues and we’re so excited to recap their wedding day!
The Engagement
Jake caught Melissa completely off guard when he proposed to her at the Landmark Center. The spot where Jake proposed was the start of the aisle they walked down on their wedding day! Jake even had her parents hiding nearby when he did it so they got to watch the whole thing! Melissa’s parents live four hours away, so this was really special. Jake’s parents were also there! Afterwards they all went to one of her favorite museums and then out for a very nice dinner.
The Venue
The Landmark Center in St Paul, Minnesota, is a stunning and historic venue that offers an elegant setting for ceremonies and receptions. The building was originally built as a federal courthouse and post office in the 1900s and has been beautifully restored to a building that now serves as a cultural center and event space. The building has breathtaking architecture with high ceilings, ornate details, and grand staircases.
The venue offers a few different options for the ceremony and reception. More intimate weddings can be held in the beautifully restored courtrooms, while larger weddings can take place in the cortile (main hall) that has five stories of balconies and a skylight as the centerpiece of the venue. The Landmark Center allows couples to bring in their own caterers and vendors which gives flexibility to personalize your wedding experience!
The Wedding
Melissa & Jake wanted a historic, timeless and romantic look and their Elegant Landmark Center wedding was just that! Their venue was perfect for their vision. They had the bridesmaids in a shade of blue, with their centerpieces in neutrals and heavily focused on candles with minimal floral. They had cafe lights from We’ve Got it Covered which is always a favorite at the venue!
Our Services
When Melissa & Jake inquired for their Elegant Landmark Center wedding, they knew they were looking for someone in support/assistance and time management. Melissa had always been a planner, and loved the wedding planning process, but wanted someone she could hand the reins over to on the day of. They wanted to be fully present on their big day, and wanted someone who could be the main point of contact, execute their vision/decor plans, and make decisions on their behalf as they saw fit.
Melissa & Jake went with our wedding management package which was great for them to continue to do all the planning, but to have someone to take over closer to the wedding! We started working with Melissa & Jake a few months out to go over all the wedding details, create a timeline, and come up with the decor set up/tear down plan. On the day of the wedding we were on site to ensure everything was executed to plan including setting up/tearing down their decor, managing the timeline, and communicating with vendors.
We loved being a part of Melissa & Jake’s elegant Landmark Center wedding and wish them years of happiness!!

We also had two assistant coordinators there, they too were a huge help with everything. I can’t thank them enough for all the pictures and videos they took on their phones. It was so nice to have photos and videos before getting them back from our photographer. They also captured many moments I missed at the wedding.
Hanna and her team are so amazing. Our wedding was perfect thanks to them, truly couldn’t have done it without them! I am pretty type A, but even on wedding day I was so calm because I knew HME was going to take care of everything. Peace of mind on your wedding day is truly priceless.”
