Jocelyn & Bryan had a beautiful Northern Oaks Events Wedding! This venue gives off backyard wedding vibes (after all, it was the owner’s childhood home!) which was exactly what Jocelyn & Bryan wanted!
Northern Oaks Events is located in Sauk Rapids, Minnesota. The beautiful log house sits on over 100 acres of wooded property – giving everyone all the privacy they need! The house, as mentioned, was the owners childhood home and has plenty of room for the wedding party to enjoy. Their is two getting ready suites, one in the basement and the other on the upper level, so there isn’t a chance the couple bumps into eachother! Their are two ceremony locations to choose from – with cocktail hour being enjoyed throughout the spacious lawn. They built a pavilion on the property where dinner takes place! The pavilion is versatile for many different themes and designs.
Jocelyn & Bryan were actually living in Pennsylvania for Bryan’s schooling when they booked their wedding venue, although they got engaged over Christmas break when they visited Minnesota. While visiting Minnehaha park on a Tuesday, Bryan proposed on a snow-covered bridge and they celebrated by taking selfies near the frozen waterfall. Afterwards they celebrated with friends and family at a brewery!
Jocelyn & Bryan’s vision for the day was romantic & fun with some color inspired by wildflowers. They wanted good music, drinks and food for all their guests to enjoy! Their wedding took place on June 8, and while my birthday (Hanna, owner) is June 9, they were sweet enough to get a candle for a bundtini and have everyone sing happy birthday! If you know anything about me, I hate the spotlight but this was such a sweet moment 🙂 You can scroll to see some photos from it!
Jocelyn & Bryan remain stress free on their wedding day, which is where we came in! Jocelyn and Bryan booked us over a year and a half from their wedding day. They wanted someone who they trusted to execute their vision and to also help them with any concerns that came up on the wedding day so they could be present in the moment. They went with our wedding management package where we met with them a few times prior to the wedding day to discuss timeline, decor set up/tear down, contact all their vendors and to be the point of contact.
We truly loved being part of Jocelyn & Bryan’s wedding day and truly wish them a lifetime of happiness!
