The Engagement
Sam & Dale were in Mexico visiting Sam’s Dad who lives there during the winter. Dale took Sam to one of her favorite spots in Mazatlan (the tallest lighthouse in North America) where you have a view of the entire city and ocean, and that’s where he proposed on the look-out deck! They celebrated the rest of their vacation and then began wedding planning.
The Venue
Pondview Farm is located in Cambridge, Minnesota, and offers a charming country setting for a couple looking for a rustic, yet elegant celebration. The venue can accommodate up to 200 guests and allows access from Friday to Sunday to allow for plenty of time to set up and tear down your decor! Pondview Farm also has two “getting ready” suites and you also get access to decorations and outdoor games. There is a beautiful designated outdoor ceremony site and expansive outdoor spaces for mingling. There is also a scenic walking path by the pond for guests to enjoy.
The Wedding
Sam and Dale wanted their Pondview Farm Wedding to be both meaningful and unique. They are both the type of people that go against the grain and follow what they are passionate about. They wanted their wedding to reflect them and not include just the “typical” wedding day events that blend in with every other wedding they’ve been to. Sam and Dale wanted to include their guests as much as possible, and to also spend as much time as possible with them. They both love the outdoors/country lifestyle and they chose a venue that would reflect that! They included their cute dog in the ceremony, and also had a meat raffle which was the first time we have ever experienced that so it was definitely unique!
Our Services
We actually met Dale at a wedding the summer before he and Sam got married, as he was the videographer for the couple. He had mentioned they were still looking for a coordinator, and a few weeks later they inquired with us! With their venue rental being Friday-Sunday, they were mostly looking for coordination support of all their vendors and managing the timeline as they were able to set up Friday and tear down Sunday. Sam really wanted someone to handle the vendor relations so that her parents wouldn’t have to worry about it and they could instead enjoy the day!
They went with our wedding management package where we met with them a few months out to put together a detailed timeline. We also contacted all their vendors to ensure everyone had all the details and the timeline. On the day of the wedding, we were the point of contact for any concerns that came up so Sam & Dale could enjoy the day!
We loved being part of Sam & Dale’s day and wish them many years of love & happiness!!!
