Margaret & Alex had a stunning wedding at The Wexford at Emerald Greens in Hastings, Minnesota! We are so excited to share more of this beautiful day!

The Engagement

Alex & Margaret were traveling to Ireland with family. They had a three-hour drive from Galway to their home base in Dingle for the week. They had a fun night one and with the windy roads to the Cliffs of Moher, the drive was a little tense. It was a Sunday, the weather was beautiful and the Cliffs were very busy! Margaret thought Alex was being very poky and hanging back a few places. She kept encouraging him to stick with the group as they had 2 more hours on their journey. Hindsight being 20/20, she now realizes he was trying to get her alone! 

They kept noticing items that had fallen over the railings at the cliffs (gloves, water bottles, etc). On their way back down from a higher point,Alex called Margaret to “look what fell over here!” and he had the ring box placed on the grass! Alex got down on one knee to which Margaret answered ‘yes’ after a few moments of shock. Her family had an equally shocked/excited/LOUD reaction and then they had the best and fastest two hour drive down to Dingle where they proceeded to have the most memorable vacation.

The Venue

The Wexford at Emerald Greens is a newer venue in Hastings, Minnesota. It features floor-to-ceiling windows that flood the space with natural light. It can accommodate up to 400 guests, making it suitable for larger guest counts. They have a stunning outdoor waterfall ceremony site as well as two wedding suites for getting ready. One of my favorite parts is the outdoor patio! It has plenty of room for guests to look out onto the golf course, and also offers fire tables. 

Margaret & Alex chose The Wexford at Emerald Greens for a few reasons. First, they fell in love with all the natural light in the reception space. This was extremely important to them to have a beautiful inside space as they chose to get married in November and wouldn’t be having an outdoor ceremony! They also loved having two getting ready spaces on site, as well as an ample amount of space for their larger guest count.

The Wedding

Margaret & Alex wanted their wedding at The Wexford at Emerald Greens to look beautiful, but after being in/at/around SO many weddings, they knew that you don’t always remember the food or the decor. They wanted their wedding to look nice, but it wasn’t at the top of their list to spend a ton of money on the decor/floral aspect. They knew they wanted a band/DJ combo to keep the night alive as well. Ultimately, they wanted their people to have the best time without a worry in the world.

Our Services

Margaret & Alex were a referral from one of our other couples (thank you Ana + Spencer!!) so we were SO excited to work with them for their wedding at The Wexford at Emerald Greens. They didn’t want their friends or family to have to worry about any details like setting up or tearing down decor. They wanted them to feel like a part of their special day and to be able to just show up and enjoy and know that all the details are handled.

Margaret & Alex went with our Wedding Management package which was perfect for them. We started meeting with them a few months out to go over all the details of their day, put together a detailed timeline, and get in touch with all of their vendors. On the day of the wedding, we helped set up their decor, coordinate with all of their vendors, manage the timeline and then, at the end of the night, we packed up all of their decor. 

Their day was truly stunning and we are so thankful to have been a part of it.  We look forward to future weddings at The Wexford at Emerald Greens!
