Emma & Gonzalo had a beautiful fall Urban Daisy Wedding in Minneapolis, MN!

The Engagement

Emma & Gonzalo went out to Zelo for dinner, which is their “first date” spot, the night before they got engaged. The next morning they got up, went out for breakfast and then walked around outside for a bit. 

After getting back home, Emma got ready for another surprise date. She didn’t know what they were doing or where they were going. They ended up at the Arboretum! 

They walked around for a bit (as Gonzalo was trying to stall), it was sprinkling outside, and then they started walking the trails outside. They got to the bridge over a little waterfall and that’s where Gonzalo asked her to marry him! Then the photographer popped out from behind the trees and they took some more pictures in different parts of the arboretum. The flowers were gorgeous and it was a great day!

The Venue

Urban Daisy Wedding Venue is one of our absolute favorite venues for many reasons. It’s in the perfect location, being on the edge of NE Minneapolis. The space features high ceilings and polished cement floors. Their venue offers a separate area for the ceremony, reception, and cocktail hour to allow for a seamless transition. They have a beautiful built-in bar as well! Urban Daisy Wedding Venue also includes two spacious suites for getting ready. 

Throughout the venue there are many unique photo opportunities including a daisy photo wall, greenery ceiling installation, and a live moss wall. While the space is stunning in itself, the staff is really what sets it apart! Everyone who works at Urban Daisy Wedding Venue is incredible and wanting to do whatever they can to make your day perfect.

The Wedding

Emma & Gonzalo fell in love with Urban Daisy Wedding Venue instantly and knew it was the perfect venue for them. They wanted a modern and minimal wedding with a hint of glamour. They went with shades of dusty rose and terracotta for the bridesmaid dresses, and the groomsmen were in dark grey suits. The flowers complimented the bridesmaid dresses with the same colors and also greenery and white to tie it all together. 

Emma & Gonzalo wanted to enhance the beauty of the Urban Daisy Wedding Venue without overdoing it. For place settings they went with black rimmed charger plates and terracotta napkins. 

Overall they wanted their day to be a big party for everyone to just have fun and spend time together! They had a “crazy hour,” which is also known as Hora Loca. During this time they had dancers come in and we also handed out glow sticks and hats to really start the party! I don’t think I’ve ever seen a dance floor more packed!

Our Services

Emma and Gonzalo were comfortable doing the planning themselves, but wanted to not feel stressed on the wedding day. They wanted to enjoy the day with each other and their loved ones without feeling like everything needs to go one way or the other. They went with our wedding management package where we started working with them the last few months of wedding planning to bring all the details together! We coordinated with all of their vendors, put together a timeline, and made sure all the details were good to go prior to the day. On the day of the wedding, we were on site to oversee everything, including setup and teardown of decor.
